The landscaping, gardens, and conservation areas of a living areole node provide more than just aesthetics. They are engineered to isolate the living aureole's "civil zone" from the sights and sounds of the Industrial Center, as well as transports traveling on the primary roads, and aerial drones taking off and landing from pads on the peripheral. Some of the gardens inside the civil zone are used for growing edible produce, and the climate inside the civil zone is synthetically controlled to maintain normalized temperatures and growing conditions year round.
